The Fullside product is made of superior quality type 304 stainless steel. What does this mean? Stainless steel is a much used but actually a faulty term for the product corrosion-resistant steel. Corrosion-resistant steel is an alloy of approximately 80% iron with a couple of additives such as chrome, nickel or molybdenum. These additives ensure a rust-free film to be produced on the material.
There are lots of different types of stainless steel compositions. The most common types are : type 304 stainless steel and type 316 stainless steel. Type 304 stainless steel is mainly used for household appliances for instance in kitchen design, but also for Fullside products. Type 316 stainless steel, the low-carbon version, also used in laboratory plates, is more expensive than type 304 stainless steel and actually too superior to use for making our products.
The high-luster type 304 stainless steel has a very high resistance to corrosion. It is simple and easy to clean and a high luster is easily maintained. When polishing products, Fullside uses these properties of stainless steel to their advantage. Like this we can always regain the original gloss. If we were to add chrome to our stainless steel, our products would be prone to flaking and oxidizing. Polished stainless steel will never flake or oxidize.
But there are more reasons why our products are of superior quality:
